Advocacy:

• Present a unified physician voice in support of individuals and families impacted by ASD

• Increase awareness of the access and quality of care concerns of individuals with ASD

• Obtain, monitor, and report on key quality metrics representative of ASD diagnostic and supportive services in BC

• Work with Health Authorities and Private providers to improve ASD care in British Columbia.

• Influence policy decisions at a regional and provincial level

Information and Resources:

• Obtain, develop, and disseminate resources to help support physicians, patients, and families

• Facilitate collaboration between organizations and individuals

Education and Research:

• Support and promote medical research in the field of ASD

• Support and promote ASD related educational programs for physicians and the public

Services and Supportive Care:

• Promote and provide supportive care for patients and their families

• Build greater capacity and competencies in the health care system for ASD management

Sustainability:

• Ensure financial sustainability through fundraising and relevant grants or funding opportunities
