“Society" means the "Physicians for Autism Society"
"Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)” includes all Pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) related to childhood-onset brain disorders including Autism, Asperger syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder – Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), Rett Syndrome; and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder.
“Bylaws” means the bylaws of the Society as filed with the Registrar;
“College” means the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia;
“Directors” means those Persons who are, or who subsequently become, directors in accordance with the Bylaws and have not ceased to be directors;
“Members” means those Persons who are, or who subsequently become, Members of the Society in accordance with these Bylaws and, in either case, have not ceased to be Members;
“Physician” an individual who is duly qualified and licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia and is entitled to practice Medicine in British Columbia
“Person” means a natural person;
The Physicians for Autism Society is a BC Incorporated Non- profit 'Physician Organization'. All 'voting' members must be 'Physicians' as licensed by the 'College'.
There are five classes of Membership in the Society, consisting of two voting classes, called “General Members” and “Physician Members”, and three non-voting classes, called “Associate Members”, “Supporting Members”, and “Sponsor Members”.
